Thanks to the Fairtrade Premium, CSEC has experienced significant improvements in income, livelihoods, and community welfare. The organization has embarked on various impactful projects, reflecting our commitment to sustainable practices and the development of both our members and the wider community.
1. Enhancing the Processing Unit: CSEC has strategically invested Fairtrade Premiums in upgrading essential components, such as the drying table and hulling machine. These enhancements have not only boosted the efficiency of our coffee processing but have also significantly improved the overall quality of our product.
2. Village Road Construction: In recognizing the crucial role of infrastructure, CSEC has actively contributed to the construction of village roads. This initiative not only improves access for the community but also supports local economic development, making a tangible difference in the daily lives of our members and their families.
3. Supporting Education: Understanding the pivotal role of education, CSEC has utilized Fairtrade Premiums to provide learning materials for primary school children. This initiative is designed to empower the younger generation, contributing to the educational development of the community and nurturing future leaders.

Integrated Pest Management Workshop, 2023: Organized by Fairtrade Network of Asia & Pacific Producers (NAPP), this workshop was specifically tailored for Lao producers. It played a crucial role in further strengthening CSEC’s knowledge and practices in pest control.
Specialty Coffee Processing Training, 2023: The team participated in a training session focused on coffee quality improvement and specialty coffee processing (Q Processing Level 2), conducted by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI). This experience enhanced our expertise in producing high-quality specialty coffee.
Green Coffee Trading Fundamental Course, 2023: Fairtrade NAPP offered a training course to CSEC members, enriching our understanding of green coffee trading practices. This knowledge is vital for navigating the complexities of the coffee market.
Coffee Farm and Post-Harvest Management Workshop, 2024: Continuing our learning journey, CSEC attended a workshop provided by Fairtrade NAPP in Thailand, focusing on coffee farm management and post-harvest management. This workshop was instrumental in advancing our skills in biological control techniques, organic farm management, and post-harvest processes at a commercial scale.
